5280 Early Childhod Education Center's staff
I'm Angela, owner and director of 5280 ECEC. I have been working in the field of early childhood education since 2009. After working as an assistant director for a local childcare center/preschool, my strong belief that childcare could and should be better prompted me to open this center. I strive to provide the best environment possible for the families and staff that are part of this community. Before moving to Colorado, I earned my bachelor's of science form Auburn University, spent time in the rain forest of Costa Rica doing research work with Boston University and worked on my master's of science studying ambient ozone levels of butterfly bushes and maple trees. Prior to starting 5280ECEC I worked at a pharmaceutical lab, managed a soils lab for an engineering firm for the T-Rex project (highway expansion in CO) and was assistant director at a local preschool. Much of my weekend time is spent painting, gardening , taking my kiddos to sports practice and working on ways to improve the school. I thoroughly enjoy our school and the families and staff we get to work with everyday.
My husband, Jason, and I have have two children, Cater is 15 and Emerson is 12. We try to spend as much time outdoors as we can and we're always looking for fun ways to spend time together as a family.
Tracy Cordova is the natural foods chef at 5280 Early Childhood Education Center- Golden location. Tracy attended the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Colorado and received an Associates of Applied Science degree in Baking and Pastery in 2011. Although baking is a passion of hers she loves every aspect of cooking, wheter it be sweet or savory. Tracy loves cooking from scratch with the freshest ingredients, and she thrives on being creative in the kitchen. At 5280 Early Childhood Education Center she has combined her love of children and cooking and adamantly believes that children need to be fed quality healthy foods to grow, learn and thrive. Tracy loves the outdoors, traveling, snowboarding, swimming, hiking, cooking and spending as much time as possible with her family, friends and her dog, Bo.
Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I handle all the waitlist and scheduling needs at 5280. I have been working here since March 2016 in various roles, and have loved every minute at this wonderful school! I graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with my degree in Social Work. However, I quickly found I was too sensitive for that, and have worked with children ever since! I am ECT and INS qualified, and even though I work in the office now, I often find myself back in the classrooms hanging out with the kids to get a break from adulting! When I’m not at 5280, I love to read, go anywhere with live music, and travel.
Hi, my name is Natalie and I am a lead teacher in the Great Minds 2 classroom and I am also the curriculum director. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for the past five years and I am Early Childhood Teacher certified. I have really enjoyed watching the progress children make in such a short time! One of my biggest passions in life is dancing. I received my BA in dance from Colorado State University and have been dancing for 28 years. I also dance professionally for Life/Art Dance Ensemble and enjoy performing with all my heart!! Things I enjoy outside of dancing and working with children are; spending time with my Pomeranian, Teddy Graham, spending time with family and friends and I love to sew and draw cartoons! I am looking forward to getting to know you and all your wonderful children!
